According to the solubility, if it is water insoluble, and it is non-polar or weak polar, you can choose Si, NH2, Diol. If it is weak polar to mid-polar, you can choose C18, C8, C4, CN, Diol, NH2, Phenyl. If it is mid-polar to strong-polar, you can choose C18, C8.
